To help this client achieve their goals, we utilized a professional theatre designer to develop photo realistic renderings. These renderings were then shared with the designer responsible for the rest of the home. Modifications were made and the final result achieved the harmonious look and feel the client desired.
Audio is powered by Marantz and delivered through Bowers and Wilkens speakers for realistic sound reproduction whether watching a Hollywood movie or playing the lastest video game. The children have their choice of Playstation, X-Box and Wii consoles.
One challenge we did encounter involved the chosen screen which was too big to fit into the basement. Our solution was to remove the entire staircase which allowed the screen to be brought downstairs, and then reinstall the staircase with no inconvenience to the owners.
To optimize acoustics without interfering with the design, all speakers are hidden behind kinetics acoustic panels. The room is sound isolated with Kinetics Isomax clips and STC49 acoustical doors.
The result is a great sounding, comfortable room with stylish design that the whole family can enjoy.
