The clients came to us while in the planning stages of building their dream cottage. The objective was to design and execute a system that would serve the owners and the cottage well for many years to come. The system had to blend seamlessly with the Interior Design.
This project encompasses a full Lutron Homeworks QS lighting control system with over 120 controlled lighting loads and 48 keypads, as well as Lutron automated shading throughout the entire home.
Having single gang keypads in place of multi gang high voltage boxes went along way to achieving our seamless installation.
In this project there are many indirect and accent LED lighting loads throughout the home. The challenge was to make controlling them simple for the clients. Lighting Scenes were built for all areas, now with one button push, the home is lit exactly how the clients want it to be lit for task lighting, decorative lighting and indirect lighting. This project has many layers of light that really bring the cottage to life.
We were tasked with creating a unique, emotion invoking accent lighting experience in the main room. We used pin lights to accentuate the timber frame all the way to the peak. This one of the owner’s favourite things.
The Homeworks QS system and all the Lutron Shades are controlled via the cottage’s Elan control system. The client has one easy to use interface to control their Lighting, Shading, Audio, Video, Climate, Security and Theatre Room.
